...of special cars. Candy colors and gleaming chrome beckoned the eye as they sparkled like dappled sunlight on the crest of a wave. Regardless of where you looked the view was intoxicating and the experience memorable. Following lunch, the afternoon was left open to allow for exploring the quaint village of Mt. Dora, or to race back to the hotel pool for a little Florida sunshine and a splash of tourist fun, or maybe just to rest up for Saturday night�s �Black Tie Charity Gala� in the lovely Parrish Hall at St. Margaret Mary�s Catholic Church in Winter Park. Sunday was the day for the actual Concours, and it sparked the imagination. Cars were grouped in little clusters of common makes or themes. One small gathering of American hot rods and customs parked diagonally on the brick street in front of a cute vintage shop took you back four decades in an instant.
